A Short history of Open Civics

Born out of a recognition of the interconnected crises humanity faces today, OpenCivics has evolved from a concept into a growing network. Over the course of the journey, the foundational concept of a non-rivalrous network of civic innovators has expanded into a participatory design and engagement practice, open to all members of the public, to better meet community needs, locally and globally.
